Abstract

Monozygotic twin pregnancies account for about 0.4%-0.45% of nonstimulated in vivo conceptions. However, numerous studies have demonstrated that the risk of these pregnancies is increased after the use of assisted reproductive technologies.

We report two cases of monozygotic twin pregnancies that occurred recently in our hospital and review the possible factors that may be involved in the association between assisted reproductive technologies and monozygotic twin pregnancies.
