Abstract

This paper presents the experimental development of a network control system which compensates the network delay and the inherent input delay of linear systems. The digital implementation of two input delay optimal compensators is carried out on an industrial controller. First, the input delay is compensated with a control law, whose structure has the form of a Proportional Integral controller, hut the equation does not include integral term, then the second control is the optimal control for input time delay systems, which uses the prediction of the state. Moreover, a comparative study of the two controller performances and the system responses are shown for a cooling system with three different large delays.
