Three structured, reliable, and valid scales/measures along with demographic form were used to assess proactive personality, organizational citizenship behavior, and job engagement. The results indicated that there was a significant positive relationship among proactive personality, organizational citizenship behavior, and job engagement. The findings showed that job engagement partially organizational mediated the relationship between proactive personality and organizational citizenship behavior. The findings are discussed in the light of existing literature. Abstract

Recent past studies discussed personality has a strong positive impact on workplace behavior. The present research investigated the mediating role of job engagement in the relationship between proactive personality and organizational citizenship behavior.
