Abstract

The method is anchored in empiricism and oral reports produced by this original people. For that, was used techniques such as participant observation, oral history, semi-structured and informal interviews, among others. For the Parintintin the forest emanates health, from which they extract innumerable plant species used in the healing processes of the body and soul. To these are added those planted in backyards, in addition to the use of drugs. This way, new components if hybridise those specific of local culture, from the dialogue between non-indigenous (scientific and popular) and indigenous knowledge, that end up transforming and diversifying, adapting, but also imposing themselves, in order to ensure the health of this people.
