It is also found to have a lot of medicinal uses in practice of traditional medicine in various countries. It is being used for several ailments for its potential therapeutic activities like antidiabetic, antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, abortifacient, antifertility, antiulcer, anthelmintics, antimalarial, antipsoriasis and immunomodulatory. Several studies conducted, showed promising results in managing diabetes and its complications.
