Palavras-chave: compositos, grafite-poliuretana, termogravimetria Abstract Composites from graphite as the conducting phase agglutinated by polyurethane resins prepared from vegetable oil and petroleum (Poly-Optic 14-11 e Poly 74-29), were prepared and characterized by Thermogravimetry in order to determine the exact content of graphite in each sample and the thermal stability of the resulting material. Differential thermal analysis data were also used in such characterization, revealing most the thermal degradation events. Similar studies were extended to the unmodified resins. Abstract

Compositos de resinas poliuretanas comerciais de origem vegetal e derivadas de petroleo (Poly-Optic 14-11 e Poly 74-29) como aglutinantes e grafite como fase condutora foram preparados e caracterizados por termogravimetria, visando determinar o teor exato de grafite presente em cada composito, alem estabilidade termica dos materiais resultantes. Analise termica diferencial tambem foi usada para caracterizar os eventos de degradacao termica. Estudos similares foram estendidos para as resinas nao modificadas.
