Abstract

We demonstrate a mode-locked Yb-doped fiber laser (YDFL) that enables fiber high-order mode (HOM) oscillation inside the ring cavity, by using a pair of mode selective couplers (MSCs) as an effective mode converter, the optical fiber HOM is obtained.
