Abstract

Dual active bridge converter (DAB) is an important power electronics in the DC distribution system of electric aircraft. It is used to convert generated high DC voltage to lower DC voltage, and it can be used between battery and low voltage bus to stabilize the supplied DC power. This paper proposes a modelling and control method for the DAB converter to regulate the load voltage. It uses a simplified method by focusing only on the fundamental component of the square waves of DAB converter. And the controlled object of this method is the square of load voltage which makes it simpler than the conventional method. The simulated results of the controlled system are also presented in the paper.
