Ceramium rubrum is one of the red seaweeds that can be found in the Black Sea on the Romanian coast that has not been enough studied for their bioactive compounds. Identification and quantification of the biomolecules is carried out by specific methods. The compounds that have been found are cumarines, sterols, flavonoic aglicoles, triterpenes and polysaccharides. Is well known that this kind of biomolecules are very important in the pharmaceutical industry.
