Abstract

This publication presents the design, microfabrication and characterization of microwave artificial dielectric for highly compact circuits. The investigated artificial dielectric is integrated thanks to microtechnology using plastic-based materials. Two comprehensive modelling approaches and design methodology are presented and experimentally validated. We then demonstrate that artificial dielectrics permit the elaboration of miniaturized microwave circuits as well as potential mechanical bending ability.
