Abstract

The formation of the “S-shaped” negative differential conductivity (NDC) of high gain GaAs photoconductive semiconductor switches (PCSS) is qualitatively analyzed. The development of NDC is characterized by localized direct transform from N-shaped to S-shaped NDC.
