"Better Days Ahead": Teaching Revolutionary Futures and Protesting the Present

Abstract

Moving beyond the basic tenets of anti-capitalist critique, this project theorizes hope not as “the bedrock of the nation” but as an important tool that allows us to imagine future alternatives to neoliberal capitalism. Ultimately, I claim that hope endows Marxism with the very possibility of a revolutionary future.
