Making the excavations speak: The use of a 3D model of the temple of Hercules in Celje as an interpretative tool

Abstract

In order to properly reconstruct the temple of Hercules in Celje, Slovenia, digital tools have been used for documentation, interpretation and presentation. The site presents a rare example of heritage preserved in situ, excavated, partly conserved and represented in the 1950s. A digital reconstruction of the temple is one of the goals of my dissertation: The temple of Hercules in Celjie: Peripteral and Pseudoperipteral Slovenia.
