A computer program for plotting stereographic projections

Abstract

A computer program is discussed, which provides automatic plotting of stereographic standard projections of crystals of arbitrary lattice parameters, with any wanted central pole. Poles of crystal directions or planes can be plotted alternatively. Interactive plotting of single poles is also provided. Additionally, for cubic crystals an enlarged plot of the unit triangle can be produced. The program is written in fortran 77 and is readily available from the author.
