Energy spectrum of the superlattice consisting of the alternating strips of one-layer and two-layer graphene

Abstract

Superlattice model consisting of alternating strips of single-layer and two-layer graphene is proposed. Using the transfer matrix method, a dispersion relation is derived. Based on the numerical analysis of the dispersion relation, graphs of the dependence of the electron energy on the components of its quasimomentum are plotted.
