Compounds related to 1-hydroxymethylindane-2-carboxylic acid

Abstract

The preparation of the lactone of cis-1-hydroxymethylindane-2-carboxylic acid is described and of some substituted amino-derivatives of 1-methylindene-2-carboxylic acid. Some other reactions of ethyl γ-bromo-α-benzylaceto-acetate are described.
