Evidencias del impacto de la Competencia sobre el Crecimiento Económico de América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

The analysis of the contribution of Total Factor Productivity (TFP) to growth as well as of competition to economic growth through the intensity of local competition is presented. The results indicate that of the total LAC countries, in eight of them the aggregate contribution of the intensity of local competition on economic growth was positive, Chile and Paraguay standing out, and in the others it was negative.
