Abstract
Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian development nongovernmental organization founded in Korea in 1991 with the mission to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. For the last 28 years, GNI has been focusing on protecting the rights of children in 36 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean, with the support of 7 Support Country Offices and 4 Global Offices. GNI is committed to community development projects to create a safe and healthy environment for children to grow up in. Children are ensured to the right to receive quality education, access to equitable healthcare, safe drinking water, and sustainable means of income generation for their families (Fig. 1). All of this, however, cannot be achieved by Good Neighbors alone. GNI ensures that strong community partnership and network is built so that members of the local communities are involved in the decision-making processes (Fig. 2).
