The thiophene concentration in the catalyzate is 1.5–2 times higher than in industrial byproduct coking thiophene concentrate. Abstract
Liquid catalyzate containing thiophene has been obtained from the gas formed in semicoking of kukersite shale by means of heterocyclization over an alumina-chromium-lanthanum lanthanum oxide catalyst. The thiophene concentration in the catalyzate is 1.5–2 times higher than in industrial byproduct coking thiophene concentrate. At the same a reduction in the hydrogen sulphide content of the semicoking gas from 9–12% to 0·5 vol.% or less has been obtained.
