Among participants with higher literacy, only subjective judgements of text readability distinguished certain text complexity levels. Abstract

Research has explored using Automatic Text Simplification for reading assistance, with prior work identifying benefits and interests from Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) adults.
