A new spider of the Plectreurys castanea species group (Araneae: Plectreuridae) from California, USA

Abstract

Abstract A new species of the Plectreurys castanea species group from Los Angeles County, California, United States, is described, diagnosed, and illustrated. Males of P. palacioscardieli sp. nov. are characterized by the shape of the apical division of the bulb. A brief discussion of the restricted distribution and resemblance to other species of the same group is given.
