Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to discuss Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Libraries’ experience and success in the creation of a fundraising Communications Plan. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on observational experiences at EKU Libraries over the course of two years, before and after the implementation of a Communications Plan. Findings – Feedback from Friends of EKU Libraries advised that donors appreciate communications from EKU Libraries, especially on a monthly basis.
