Abstract

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is a simple process due to which it is mostly automated, and hence once welding parameters are established, it is possible to produce long and repeatable welds. Mechanical/material properties around heat affected zone (HAZ) are greatly influenced by the welding parameters.
