Abstract

The methanol extract of aerial parts of Tribulus terrestris were evaluated for anthelmintic activity using earthworm, tapeworm, and roundworm .The methanol extract of aerial parts of Tribulus terrestris exhibited a dose dependent inhibition of spontaneous motility (paralysis) and death with lower doses the effects were comparable with that of Albendazole. The results showed that the methanolic extract possessed wormicidal activity and thus, may be useful as an anthelmintic.
