Abstract

This article presents the data of the assessment of nutritional status and its impact on survival in people aged 95 years and older living independently. Malnutrition and micro- and macronutrient deficiencies are common in people 95 years of age and older. For timely detection of nutritional disorders, it is necessary to regularly examine elderly patients and, if necessary, correct an individual patient management plan. Conducting a nutrition assessment, drawing up a program for the prevention of malnutrition syndrome in the elderly will improve the quality of life and increase life expectancy.
