Abstract

This article deals with the application of the notarial ata to civil liability for environmental damage. The environmental degradation is a worldwide problem, and its offenders must be held accountable. Furthermore, the notarial ata is an instrument that provides evidence of legal facts and environmental damage. This article seeks to clarify the concept of notarial ata, assumptions, benefits and use for environmental accountability. It was concluded by the need the need to disseminate the use of the notarial ata as a means of proof for such accountability. The methodology used wasbased on explanatory methodology, legislative, bibliographic and jurisprudential research.
