Abstract
The aim of this study is to offer a interdisciplinary approach to one of the most frequent pathologies (arthrotic hand) found in geriatric centres, which is, due to its characteristicts specially invalidating as it affects the patient’s interaction with his environment. In this study we have established valuation and treatment procedures from both points of view (i.e. physiotherapy and occupational therapy). As far as the conclusions are concerned, we can prove that with an appropriate intervention we can obtain improvements in different clinical parameters which lead to a major functionality and as such, to an increase in the patient’s quality of life.
