Movie-Made Philosophy

Abstract

This chapter defends the view that it is within the resources of moving image works to do philosophy – that is to produce original philosophy. To that end the article confronts a range of objections to the possibility of movie made philosophy and in the course of challenging them, proposes a range of ways in which movies can make philosophy.
