Abstract

Public transport – as the key element of an eco-friendly mobility system – is currently underrepresented in GIS-based accessibility analyses due to a lack of data. Efforts to make machinereadable timetable information available in the open GTFS format as OpenData offer new possibilities. The integration of these data into geographical information systems provides the basis for spatial analyses in the field of accessibility and thus the possibility to generate valid accessibility indicators for public transport.
