On "Spiral of Silence"

Abstract

General attention has been paid to people's silence.The present paper is an analysis of the theory of "Spiral of Silence" in press communications.It argues that the theory is not an invariable law,and that moral education should not result in silence,nor should the silence be intensified.It asserts that the success of education should never be realized at the expense of students' silence.
