I argue, however, that the most important role of research was to perform an act of neutralization of disruptive differences between the fields by means of a creative reconceptualization of the concept of entrepreneurship. Abstract

In 2010, the Swedish government asked The Swedish National Agency for Education to make entrepreneurship into a “thread” in the primary school curriculum. I show that in this process, educational research came to function as a mediator, connecting the spheres of politics, economy and education, without threatening the autonomy of the respective fields. According to official documents, educational research was mobilized by the agency for the purpose of implementation.
