Abstract
The article substantiates the practical expediency of using KPIs in public authorities to build an effective system of motivation of management to achieve individual, resulting performance indicators set by the management, based on the short-term and long-term strategic goals of the company. The provisions of the evidence base of the necessity and legality of the use of a progressive motivation system based on KPIs are argued, the main of which are result orientation, manageability of the motivation system, the fairness of decisions to determine a worthy assessment of the employee's contribution to the overall success of the company, transparency of the employee's understanding of the award criteria.
