Abstract

Based on osseointegration of dental implants, submerged or not, Implantology constitutes a secured clinical science. The diminution of treatment delay and more specifically the immediate loading of implants is a more frequent practice. Its development is based on an improvement of patients comfort and on biological and functional considerations. The aim of this first paper is to collect and analyse the clinical studies on the immediate loading of implants in the edentulous mandible using fixed prosthesis, to know its predictability and finally to determine the surgical factors of its success.
