Abstract

This communication contains information on some existing plants in Italy of pyrogasification of woody biomass, there is the treatment at a temperature between 800-1200℃ before in absence of oxygen(pyrolysis) and subsequent in lack of oxygen (gasification) to obtain a gas which it then sent to an internal combustion engine which produce electricity and heat. Subsequently we shall report information of two demonstration plants realized in Europe of production of biogas from woody biomass by gasification and consecutive hydrogenation to biomethane.
