Abstract

Reaction of butadiene with cobalt(II) chloride in the presence of metallic zinc, ethanol, and triphenylphosphine gives the complex anti-π-but-2-enylbutadiene(triphenylphosphine)cobalt, (C4H7)(C4H6)CoPPh3.
