Cosmétologie et camouflage des cicatrices de brûlures

Abstract

Les brûlures graves entraînent la disparition du film hydrolipidique qui est formé par les sécrétions des différentes glandes de la peau et de la perspiration insensible. Il s’agit d’une atteinte physiologique quasi irrémédiable au niveau du fonctionnement de la peau qui est notre plus grand organe et l’essence même de tout individu. Cette disparition va amener chez le patient un inconfort cutané majeur, nécessitant une cosmétologie particulière, et le placer face à un double défi : accepter la cicatrice et surmonter le regard d’autrui. Une proposition est faite pour permettre un réinvestissement social : le maquillage des cicatrices ou maquillage correcteur. Cette démarche consiste à apprendre aux personnes brûlées à “camoufler” leurs cicatrices de manière à pouvoir retourner plus confiantes vers la société.

Deep burns remove the hydrolipidic film formed by the secretions of the differents skin annexiae and the insensible perspiration. This unremovable physiological injury will impair the functioning of the skin which is our largest organ and the very essence of every individual. This lack will induce to the patient a major skin which requires a peculiar cosmetology. He will also have to face two challenges : accepting the scar and the social disturbance. A proposal is done to allow a social reinvestment: making up scars or corrective makeup. The essential step is to teach the burned people to “hide” their scars so they can return more confident to society. Moisturizing care and correcting makeup are two allies for a better quality of life.
