The overhead high voltage transmission lines are vulnerable to icing disaster which has great impact on safe and stable operation of power grid. The statistical analysis of the of transmission line ice accident is an important basis for the prevention of power grid icing disaster. In this paper, the transmission line ice accidents from Zhejiang province in the past ten years are systematically analyzed. The spatial-temporal features of the ice accidents were obtained. The meteorological characteristics of the ice accidents are presented. Besides, the influence of the altitude and the tower span is investigated. Abstract
Zhejiang province lies in the southeast coast of china with the geographical characteristics of mountains and hills.
