Abstract

We analyze FBG sidelobe's influence on Q- switched fiber laser pulses. It shows uniform FBG's sidelobe introduces undesired multi-peaks pulses and decrease the output peak power. Therefore apodized FBG is preferred for FBG- based Q-switched fiber laser.
