ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF MEDICAL PARASITOLOGY TEACHING UNDER CONDITIONS OF DISTANCE EDUCATION

Abstract

The development of the education system under modern conditions requires changesin many directions: information, methodological, technological, organizational ect.The article deals with the distance education advantages and disadvantages, as well as highlights own experience of implementing online technologies in the educationalprocess of the medical students.The objective of the article is to analyze the features of distance studies and determine itsadvantages and disadvantages.Conclusions. Distance/online/electronic education has already taken one of the leadingpositions in higher educational system of many universities, but not in the medical ones.The transition to enforced distance/electronic methods of education in 2020 hasmodernized all stages of teaching and perception of the medical education. Yes, thisextraordinary time requires the adaptation of training and control materials. Habitualclasses are irreplaceable, but the development of the digital space creates excellentalternative opportunities for the studies and development of up-to-date students andfuture specialists during quarantine.Distance education is a separate type of teaching, it is philosophy, methodology,psychology of studies and teaching. Everything must be studied and developedthoroughly, it is necessary to improve presentation of the material constantly, as well asmeans of assistance and self-control. However, distance/online studies are definitely a bigadvantage during a global pandemia.
