DREDGEMAP: a GIS-based dredging model system

Abstract

Applied Science Associates and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have developed customized interfaces for a suite of U.S Army Corps of Engineers models used to manage dredging and disposal operations and long-term dredged mound evolution. Each of four models, STFATE, MDFATE, LTFATE and SSFATE have been incorporated into custom ArcView/sup (R)/ GIS extensions or stand-alone MapObjects/sup (R)/ applications. The model systems are summarized.
