Abstract:In this article, the author discusses some ideas about the process of hope in relation to envy and illusion and hope's contextual position within “reality” in the analytic group therapy experience. He presents some thoughts on hope, envy, and illusion and then gives a clinical example of their dynamic appearance and treatment in a clinical group.
