Abstract

As the wide application of ARINC429 bus on avionics equipments, slow communication speed of current boards becomes a serious problem. This paper introduced an ARINC429 communication board based on MCU control and CPLD I/O expansion. Hardware environment of this board consists of eight receive channels, four transmit channels, and both USB and RS485 interfaces. This board achieves compatibility between the plug-and-play, high-speed transmission of USB interfaces and the simplicity, universality of RS485 interfaces, making ARINC429 equipment testing faster and more convenient. This board has been used in a Hardware-in-loop testing system successfully.
