The highest inhibition was found in water extract against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and which is a gram-negative bacterium. From the result of the assays, it was clear that chloroform and methanolic extracts show significant inhibitory properties. Canthiumera neilgherrensis (Wight) K.M. Wong is a rare medicinal plant that is endemic to Southern Western Ghats.
