A Rare Case of Vagococcus fluvialis Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis and Aortic Root Abscess

Abstract

We describe a case of Vagococcus fluvialis infective endocarditis with associated aortic root abscess in a 50-year-old male on his second bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement. Only two cases of Vagococcus endocarditis have been recorded to our knowledge, and this case reinforces the fulminant nature of a rare organism. Case RepoRt
