These include a port wine stain of cutaneous capillary malformations, hypertrophy of tissue on the affected side and venous and lymphatic malformations and abnormalities. The musculoskeletal involvement is an important manifestation of this disease which affects normal patients function. Each case is unique with a multitude of variations being perceived in patients with KTS. Radiologically demonstrable bone change is found in the vast majority of cases, 74% of which affects the lower limb. At present there is no known cure for Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome.
