Abstract

M?dical research points out that some diseases of the elderly can be explained by past exposure to air pollution (PM 2.5 ). In this paper, we address the dynamical cons?quences of this empirical ?vidence. For that purpose, we develop an environmental OLG model where pollution level faced by the repr?sentative household during his youth affects his health during his old age.
