Abstract
The research purpose is to realize a multi-stage model developed by the authors to show fatigue failures accumulation and failures of anti-friction materials and layers in slider bearings.
The model describes: a scattered accumulation of micro-cracks, formation and development of a micro-crack system up to a limiting state of an object. There are solved some problems. The problem of model parameter identification on the basis of the analysis of babbit sample tests is solved with the use of the simplest optimization method – a method of a deformable polyhedron.
At that there are used principles of the least-squares method. A new result is four model parameters obtained finally. A computation problem of anti-friction babbit layer life required the development of a new software product. Software testing is carried out as a comparison of bearing-sample tested for fatigue and calculated life of these samples. The calculated and experimental lives are consistent. It confirms model working capacity.
