The problem of model parameter identification on the basis of the analysis of babbit sample tests is solved with the use of the simplest optimization method – a method of a deformable polyhedron. \nAt that there are used principles of the least-squares method. A new result is four model parameters obtained finally. A computation problem of anti-friction babbit layer life required the development of a new software product. Software testing is carried out as a comparison of bearing-sample tested for fatigue and calculated life of these samples. The calculated and experimental lives are consistent. Abstract

The research purpose is to realize a multi-stage model developed by the authors to show fatigue failures accumulation and failures of anti-friction materials and layers in slider bearings.
