Abstract

Various theories were proposed in past to explain interphase mass transfer. For the case of gas liquid interphase mass transfer, it is well known fact that for every concentration in one phase, there is equilibrium concentration in other phase. The departure from this equilibrium state is causing the mass transfer. Wetted wall column experiments were considered for understanding of two resistance concepts [1,2].
