Although not central to his argument, Cottrell-Boyce observes that when in seventeenth-century England, Christians and Jews did encounter each other, we find them ‘talking at each other, rather than to each other’ (246). Great strides have been made in Jewish-Christian relations since then. Even so, I could not help wondering whether a similar observation might be made of Baptists and Jews even today.
