Abstract

: Th e following article consists in a critical analysis of three Chilean science fi ction short stories, which, by using the category of Latin American monster, focuses on the confi guration of post-human subjectivities expressed in the texts. Th is inter-pretation intends to acknowledge and revalidate the socio-cultural context of produc-tion by emphasising the bonds between cybernetics and identity, with the purpose of acknowledging the historical, political and cultural issues narrated in these texts. All of which, in this case, are linked to memory, death and the disembodiment of the human being.
